Here you will find a list of terms found in the Odin Fandub. This page will help you better understand the world of Odin.



Battle Control Unit - Capable of controlling all the remote controlled ships within a vicinity of space by means of microwaves. Without this, the ships just fly around randomly like bumbling fools.

bosun - (also known as "boatswain") 1: A petty officer on a merchant ship having charge of hull maintenance and related work. 2: A naval warrant officer in charge of the hull and all related equipment. (source: Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary)

convert compiler - A machine that can magically convert anything into anything.

F-slot - A slot used for inserting memory crystals on the Odin colony. There are also slots corresponding to other letters, but the F-slot is the main one.

Gravity Control System (GCS) - A revolutionary new system found only on the Starlight that allows the ship to fly at previously unthinkinkable speeds by using the force of gravity.

gravity isolation sailing - Sailing at extremely high speeds by means of the Starlight's cutting edge Gravity Control System (GCS).

high-energy sailing - Ship sails independently by means of its own engine, without using laser route sailing.

laser route sailing - Traveling on one of the laser routes in the laser network by means of the ship's sails, propelling the ship forward.

Scatter Strike Battle Units - Remote control attack ships that attack by breaking into many pieces. From a top view they look like a compact disc.

terminator probes - Seemingly natural occurring anomalies in space that kick your ass when you get too close to them.

I.G. Tank Unit - Big dorky-looking four-legged robotic vehicle with a big cannon on its front that stomps around. Used to defend the manufacturing sector of Belgel's space colony.

ventral sail - A sail on the bottom of the ship that can be deployed in order to help stabalize the ship's flight.
